Rules for the event
How to Register:
- Studio directors must log in to their studio account via DanceBug. Independent entries will not be accepted for virtual events. Virtual pricing can be located in your studio account under the Pricing tab.
- Select EnerGy Virtual Competition and add your entries. Registration will follow the same format as any in-person EnerGy event. If you have previously registered for any other EnerGy competition please email us at office@energyndc.comand we can copy your existing registration into the virtual event.
- Step 4 of the registration process will allow you to upload your video. Videos will need to be in the MP4 or MOV format. Videos can be from any stage performance or a studio/home video.
- Registration, payment, and video upload must be completed by February 16th.
Event Details:
- The event schedule will be sent out to studio directors one week prior to the start of competition.
- A free digital copy of the schedule will also be released on the free DanceBug app.
- General adjudication results will be posted on our web site under the results page and the event page. Overall placements will be presented during our awards ceremony!
- Dancers will receive pins for all general adjudication awards. Street signs will be awarded for overall placements.
General Information:
- All virtual competitions will adhere to EnerGy’s rules and regulations that can be found under the Rules tab of our web site.
- Due to the nature of virtual competitions all routines will be given an automatic 5 out of 5 for their overall appearance score.
- Uploaded videos may be from any other competition stage performance or may be a video filmed in the studio or at home.
- All routines will be scored and critiqued from our panel of three judges. Scores and critiques will be available in your DanceBug account within one week following the event.
- All awards will be mailed directly to the studio within one week of the conclusion of the event.Studio Directors please make sure a valid mailing address is listed in your account.
- An additional flat fee of $10 per studio will be charged for awards shipment.
